Ikigai (生き甲斐) means "a reason for being": the point where what you seek, what the sea offers, what the house gives and what changes you meet in silence. We don't sell a stay; we offer the right to stop time.

The Playa del Ruso — the Russian's beach: a wild cove hidden between cliffs, where fresh water rises from the rock and the sea is clear enough to dive into. Fishermen used to call it Lance Nuevo. One man changed its name.
Basilio Lukianov (1891–1965) was a military musician in the tsar's army. He fled Russia around 1921, as the Soviet Union was being born, landed in this cove and decided to stay: he made a home of a cave among the rocks, beside a small freshwater spring, and lived here like a Mediterranean Robinson Crusoe.
Strong, cultured and bohemian, he earned the village's affection by lending a hand to everyone: hauling nets with the fishermen, helping in the fields, opening up the way down to the cove and tending the spring. The neighbours stopped calling it Lance Nuevo. It was, simply, the Russian's beach.
He found here, a century ago, exactly what the house offers today: a simple life, with meaning, facing the sea.
Born in the aquifers of Lújar and the Contraviesa, it surfaces among the stones — turning a semi-arid corner into the most ecologically precious spot on Granada's coast.

Bream, red mullet, grouper and octopus among posidonia meadows; with luck, a seahorse.
Gulls, cormorants and the endangered Audouin's gull. At first light, wild ibex come down to drink.
For decades the only way in was a steep track — or the sea itself. Since 2025, a restored footpath winds down to the cove between wooden stairs and railings, viewpoints and benches, all set out to respect the springs.
Lovelier still? By kayak from La Rábita beach: 800 metres along the foot of the cliffs. The same oak that runs through the house keeps you company down to the shore.
This is a fragile, near-pristine place, with endangered species and delicate springs. Bring water and shade, carry out everything you carry in, and leave only footprints on the shore.
The house could not be more complete — not a single detail is missing. The sea views are simply incredible and convey a peace and calm that make the stay even more special.
